Tal's 11th Birthday!

Can't believe Tal is eleven. We rounded out the birthday celebrations with another trip to WDW. Tal picked Epcot. He loves the hands-on stuff. And Travis actually let me go on some of the rides the last couple of trips--it has been a LONG time!

Make-up Birthday, Anyone?

So we had a crazy day at the park, then things started deteriorating. It was foul weather, foul moods, and one of those days when you know everyone is just shot out. So we headed home early (Mommy panicking about ruining his birthday), called Publix and ordered a cake (of course at that hour you're stuck with what they've got), and we improvised. And we had a blast.

And the next night, we got Miss Judy to watch the rest of the kids, and Tal had a date with Mom & Dad to go out for Japanese. He is five years older than the next kid, and once in a while, it is fun to have the three of us together again.

Happy Birthday, Tal!!

Happy Thanksgiving!
I have so much to be thankful for, starting right here.
Learned, or are they born with it?

Hard to say. But they've all got it. The technology is so amazingly different from when Tal was Cam's age that it is hard to compare.

Fun Days

So we're cleaning out the garage and the Rs start pulling stuff out. Riley spent the day in Tal's old skates (the ones he HAD to have and wore once, remember?) and they even wore helmets without complaining. The gear was cool all day, and the garage looked great for a good 24 hours.

We went to Brenda's (I guess this was really after Thanksgiving) and she had started getting Christmas decorations out, and the kids' room had a little Disney train around the tree. We weren't there five minutes before the characters had been put down on the tracks in front of the train, which both horrified me and cracked me up:

...and more fun days

Reagan was digging in Travis' closet for a sport coat to wear. I think he was digging the inside pockets. I realized we had one of Tal's that would fit him, so I got it out, and he has been wearing it NON-STOP. It is pretty cute.

He is very much the most mini-Travis a kid could be. I was sure Tal was a total mini-Travis, but he's kind of becoming his own person, and he is like me in a lot of ways. Reagan?

More of the Rs

How did I end up with so many pictures of the Rs??? I will tell you. They constantly say, "Mommy, take a picture." It's great, because it reminds me to get out the camera. So we're at Home Depot and they see this display with Chef Homer and they demand a picture with him--a little awkward, but why not. They thought it was hilarious that he had no eyes.

Sometimes we let them stay with us when we watch a movie, and they fall asleep like this--it is the very best way to end the day! I probably take a picture every time.

Reagan is FIVE!

Yes, they all dressed alike. We were taking advantage of Reagan's birthday FastPass and I didn't want to lose anyone. Besides, they looked awesome.

Now that he is five and strong (he goes by Reagan Commander "Muscles" Bond, you know), he is also tall enough for some roller coasters. We went on Big Thunder Mountain, his first and favorite, and Splash Mountain, which we had to trick him to get him on. The fuzzy picture here is me taking the kids on the first roller coaster ride.

So many fun things to do when you are five.

Shooting gallery, and special fireman duties, among other things! And when you're wearing a birthday pin...

What a Mug :)

Birthday Boy at Home

Nothing is better than coming home from the park and getting baths and jammies. And Indiana Jones Legos. Because we're going on three years of Indiana Jones Legos fandom. It was a great day.
