  Photo Shoot Success!

I'm sure I am violating some sort of photography ethic here, but I couldn't resist. The photos turned out so sweet! This is of course my favorite. In return for my snagging of the picture, I'll put in a plug for my new favorite camera duo... www.coreyconroyphotography.com. They are wonderfully sweet and talented, and they teamed up on the kids for a really fun experience. And the prices seem amazingly fair.

Many more photos to come as soon as we figure out which ones we're purchasing. Decisions, decisions. Help us out by going to their site above, then Proofing, password bond.

Until we get the real ones, here are some more samples. I still can't believe how their personalities came through in these.

Soggy Week

So very soggy. We ended up with an infinity-edge pool. Now that seems nice, but we weren't planning on it. Somehow that triggered yet another hole in our swimming hole, and that resulted in a 7" drop in less than 24 hours. So Travis got to put on his scuba gear and patch it up. Then the filter lid cracked and I got to duct tape it together, Clampett-style.

It rained so much we finally just trotted outside and played in it. Turned out to be a lot of fun, even if a lousy picture. We got soaking wet, then came inside for hot baths and hot chocolate. Right in the middle of summer.

  Back to Unschool?

Okay we don't go to school in our house, but we are gearing up for homework. I am cleaning like a madwoman lately and finally made the dining room into an actual living space again. I pulled out some old PB napkin rings that have little chalkboards on them and we ended up making a little back-to-school theme on the table. I am sure it is totally overboard and cheesy, but it is fun. And Reagan keeps erasing our names.

This Hat Just Isn't Me, Mom
You know, Cam, the funny thing is...when you grow out if that outfit, I have ANOTHER ONE FOR YOU!!!!
  Study Habits

With school starting back and Cam crawling any minute now, I've been desperate to redo the study. I built this shindig all by myself. Still organizing, but the furniture is all in place and all small bits are off the floor. There is SO MUCH MORE SPACE!. Tal's school stuff feels so much more organized...those baskets have all kinds of things in them. We have lots left to do, but I am breathing easier just knowing that we are semi-organized again. The side view here is important because we weren't able to tuck chairs in with our old computer stands. It is a beautiful sight!

  Photo Boy

Tal was asked to be in a photo shoot.for his Woship Quest group yesterday. Gramma said the photos are going to be used in a lot of brochures and promotional materials! We were always wondering how the kids got on there. It was a blast, and for the last round of pictures, we got to put on missions costumes. Of course blondie here got to have the Sweden gimmick.

The R's have once again set my camera on a horrible setting. I am not mentally slow, I just assume that a point-and-click camera will work when I turn it on. Today it appears they had it on a manual setting. So the 42 photos I took of Camden the other day are solid blue.
